Self Employed Support Worker
We are looking for a support worker to join another support worker for a private client in Exminster.

  • No personal care required
  • Car driver an advantage
hours per week required by negotiation with the client

  • Assistance to access the local community
  • Companionship care

Duties:


  • Provide direct support and care to individuals with disabilities or special needs
  • Assist with daily living activities including meal preparation
  • Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills
  • Create and implement individualised care plans based on the needs and goals of each individual
  • Promote a safe and supportive environment for individuals to thrive in
  • Foster positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other support team members
  • Document and maintain accurate records of services provided and individual progress

Requirements:


  • Self employed Support Worker Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred, head injury experience advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Compassionate and patient demeanour
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
