We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable Playworker to join the team at our extremely popular
Charlton Wood Out of School Club, based at Charlton Wood Primary Academy School (Charlton Boulevard, Patchway, Bristol, BS34 5BN).

Hours:

currently Monday to Thursday 3.00pm to 6.10pm, term time, with additional breakfast and after school hours available from September.

Starting as soon as possible. In addition, optional overtime at our Summer and Easter Holiday Club may be available in the school holidays.

The successful applicant will join our team in providing safe, high-quality and stimulating after school care for children of primary school age, in a play-based setting.

Requirements of the job include:

• Facilitating play opportunities and offering an appropriate level of support for all children attending the club.
• Assisting with the daytoday activities of the club.
• Assisting with snack time, ensuring that hygiene and health and safety standards are met.
• Maintaining good working relationships with children and families.
• Being adaptable and able to work on your own initiative.
• Willingness to learn and ability to work in a small team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliability, with excellent attendance and timekeeping.

Qualifications:

Appropriate childcare/playwork qualifications or relevant work experience will be an advantage, but not essential as training can be provided.

Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene training will be provided as appropriate.

Pay:
Dependent on qualifications, experience and agreed hours.

We will require two good references and will be particularly looking for excellent reliability, attendance and timekeeping.
