We are currently looking for a Procurement Officer on a permanent basis to help support the team with one of our biggest purchase areas; Fuel.

You will be the primary point of contact for the day to day liaison with our fuel suppliers. You will review the accuracy of all fuel invoices using delivery notes and processing invoices for payments.

This role is integral to the to the procurement team and you will be communicating quite extensively with both the fleet and ports making sure any delivery issues are resolved quickly.

You will also provide analytical support to help strategically develop the fuel procurement category through tender processes, alternative fuel types and supply options.

There will be work around preparing reports on sector fuel spend analysis, coordinating and arranging monthly meeting and work on other projects within the procurement team as directed.

To be considered for this role, you will have or can demonstrate:

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook etc.
Ability to work closely with other team members and contribute within a team environment often working under short term pressure.
Ability to prioritise work and be consistently accurate
Flexible and keen to learn

It would be advantageous if you have:

An understanding of ERP and Procurement systems
Previous experience in Fuel Procurement and supply chain
Awareness of the Marine / Shipping industry.
Understanding of the importance of ship safety, security and marine environmental issues.
Willingness to develop and train for future career development within procurement and the organisation.
