Position Overview:


As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs.

Working closely with teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other professionals, you will help create and implement individualized learning plans, provide one-on-one support, and facilitate the inclusion of SEN students within the classroom setting.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide support and assistance to students with SEN in a classroom setting.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to adapt lessons and materials to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Provide oneonone or small group support to SEN students, both academically and emotionally.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Monitor and track the progress of SEN students, providing feedback to teachers and SENCOs as required.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is preferred.
  • Possession of an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate is essential.
  • Availability to work fulltime, Monday to Friday.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of SEN students.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in special education or related fields are desirable but not essential.

£80.00-£90.00 per day
