Apprentice - Midlands Contract Support

What you'll be learning:

Our Contracts Teams have been created to ensure that each aspect of a contract is covered. Therefore, we secure, design, process and deliver each contract.

As an apprentice, you will move within the team to get full exposure and training in a contract lifecycle - Estimating / Sales, Commercial, Design / Drawing and Construction Site Supervision,.


We are looking to engage a Contract Support to assist team members with all aspects of a contract as guided by the Contracts Manager to gain a broad understanding of the team responsibilities.


Responsibilities
Support the contract team members with all aspects of the contract, primarily including but not limited to that shown below:
Booking in estimates and chasing customer for status updates.

Completing pre-qualification information for prospective customers

Preparation of material schedules

Assisting with updates to drawings

Checking drawings prior to issue

Logging site diary information provided and collating weekly contract report for issue

Submitting Sub-contract enquiry forms to Logistics

Carry out take-offs to determine variations and work quantities completed along with checking/inputting associated time sheet information

Providing document control support (scanning, saving, and filing) for all team functions

Collating and issuing of O&M documentation

Attend and contribute to internal team meetings and deliver agreed actions when requested


You'll need:

A flexible and proactive attitude.

To be passionate and keen to learn.

To be able to work both in a team and independently.

To be able to use your initiative.

Good knowledge of MS Office programmes.

A minimum of four GCSEs at grade C (or 4) and above, including English and Maths.

Our two-stage interviews are held at our offices either at Poole or the Midlands with the HR and Line Manager to find out more about you.

We want our team to feel comfortable at work and you will see that we all dress smart-casual and this applies to your interview too so don't worry about wearing a suit (unless you want to).


We will be keen to find out a bit more about your knowledge and whether you are the right person to join us.

In some roles we will ask you to complete an assessment to test your skills in action and give us tangible results.
