Description
An experienced Management Accountant with 5 years plus of experience is needed to join our team at bigspark on a fully remote (work-from-home) basis.
We are a leading UK-based consultancy delivering next-level data platforms and solutions with a focus onexciting technologies, including Apache Spark and Apache Kafka.
Having seen a huge increase in revenue during 2021/22 and due to a strategic review of the key support functions of the business, the need has been identified for an experienced and qualified Management Accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) to work closely withthe Head of Finance, to support the continued success of the company.
About the Role
We're currently a fast-growing Data Consultancy business with operations across the UK, providing innovative solutions to financial services, start-ups and industry clients.
This person will provide full financial support and take the lead on day-to-day finances whilst working closely with the Head of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide full monthly management & KPI pack
- Responsible for the balance sheet and P&L
- Maintaining all ledgers
- Cash flow reporting
- Assisting with annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Treasury
- Overseeing AP & AR
- Overseeing the monthly sales invoices to ensure they are accurate and timely
- Year end accounts and VAT reporting
- Intercompany transactions
- Group reporting across different jurisdictions
- Constantly looking to make efficiencies and automate processes where possible
- Assist and support the Head of Finance with ad hoc duties
- Continually drive and improve reporting, processes and systems, promoting an analytical and detailed approach

Required Experience:
- Full professional accountancy qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Minimum 5 years experience in management accounts
- Solid understanding of the balance sheet and reconciliations
- Experience in group reporting
- Selfstarter, who can pick up tasks quickly and understand the bigger picture
- Commercial understanding and business acumen
- Advanced working knowledge of Google Suite and advanced Excel
- Advanced working knowledge of Xero
- Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines and support the business within a busy environment
- IT / Consultancy industry experience would be a preference, although not a necessity
