£28,000 - £30,000 DOE

The Company:

We are working with a highly reputable and ambitious insurance brokerage in the Cardiff area.

Due to increased corporate client development a hybrid Senior Account Handler role has been created.

The opportunity offers a senior position within the firm, working closely with Account Executive and Account Handler staff and offers the opportunity to advance your skills and progression with career advancement.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing the placement of large and complex commercial risks. Managing placement strategy and client interaction supporting account handler staff, account executives and directors. There is an emphasis on relationship building and you will play a role in account management of these clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will get involved with a varied market, gaining exposure to numerous industries and product specialisms, gaining an in-depth knowledge of the clients and their requirements, building your reputation and place in the business working closely with senior management.

The Required Skills:

You will need to have technical and strong commercial insurance knowledge, ideally from a senior broking role with an excellent knowledge of the insurer market and placement strategy

Communication and people skills are essential with the ability to get on with a wide range of people including staff members, insurers and clients

Although experience will be the deciding factor, insurance qualifications are highly desirable, preferably at DIP level or above
