Located in historic Lancaster, we are just a stones-throw away from the stunning UNESCO world heritage site of the Lake District; a place of jaw-dropping scenery, and an endless source of inspiration.

How you can help us

Knowledge

  • Experience in traditional wood machining
  • Ability to operate and program 5axis CNC with training given on 6th Axis work
  • Alphacam CAD/CAM programming experience
  • Can read and follow technical drawings for construction
  • Keen eye for timber selection
  • Ability to plan work to meet production deadlines
  • Ability to come up with inventive fixtures and jigs
  • First aid trained or willing to learn
  • Forklift truck licence or willing to learn

Skills:


  • Systematic and precise, can work to project timelines
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Positive, enthusiastic and has a cando attitude
  • Good communication skills to liaise with wider team of designers, drafts people, project managers
  • Attention to detail and problem solving to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Quality in workmanship and striving for perfection

Key details:


  • Salary is dependent on experience
  • This Permanent position is available immediately
