Stephen Sanderson Transport is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and practical person to be involved with, supervise and assist in developing its Night Shift operation at its Corby operating centre.

This role would be best suited to someone that is looking for a challenge, and to make there own mark on what is a fast growing, well organised family owned haulage business.

The Main Duties will be as follows:

Responsible for team of 4-6 people.
Supervise loading and unloading of Collection and Delivery Vehicles within our Cross Dock Warehouse
Ensure all vehicles and pallets are safely and carefully tipped from vehicles/loaded onto the outbound vehicle, in accordance with Company procedures
Ensure that Company equipment issued to you is safely and appropriately handled in accordance with Company procedures
Ensure that any incidents (people, property, pallets) are reported immediately to your Team Leader, in accordance with Company procedures
Ensure that Company procedures regarding Health & Safety in the hub, and handling of freight, are followed at all times
Ensure systems and paperwork is updated accordingly.
Provide holiday/sickness cover for team members as necessary

The Requirements:

Experience of Proactively managing a night shift within a distribution/cross dock environment.
Confident user of technology
Computers/Scanning Devices
Extremely detailed and logical thinker.
Fork Lift Truck counterbalance licence holder (clean)
Minimum 2 years' experience of a fastmoving distribution warehouse
Able to learn all bay locations within the cross dock warehouse
Able to consistently follow Company procedures
Proactive attitude towards duties
Commitment to role
Flexibility within role
Able to work using own initiative
Excellent team working / building skills

Hours of Work
Sunday to Friday 22:00hrs - 08:00hrs

Holiday
20 Days Plus Statutory

Salary:
£39,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
