Junior Data Tester- Manchester Based - RealityMine Ltd

ROLE SUMMARY

As a Junior Data Tester, you will be responsible for creating test data to support colleagues in the development of new revenue generating data products.

This will involve using internal and external tools across Android, iOS, Windows and Mac devices.

This will require creative and detailed testing of the data reported from thousands of mobile devices located across the globe and to analyse the quality of the data.

The role will also include working with the Data Products Engineers to check what new product additions are potentially feasible which may lead to them being input into the RealityMine's product roadmap.

The role requires timely and accurate delivery against the roadmap as the business strives to develop new data products which uses RealityMine data to make market research simpler or creates new approaches in passive mobile research.

The role involves using Big Data technologies such as AWS, Apache Spark and Amazon Athena
.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with both internal and external stakeholders to fully understand requirements
• Continued learning about the RealityMine product and the dataset which it generates
• Monitoring of the data products and performing data quality checks
• Performing testing to help the team assess the impact on data products due to changes such as operating system upgrades
• Working with team members to perform feasibility studies for prospective new products and enhancements
• Producing documentation
• Interacting with team members to fully understand data structure
• Adhering to company policies and procedures with respect to security, quality, and health and safety.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Mandatory:

• An excellent aptitude for technology
• Enthusiastic about working with data
• Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or equivalent products
• Good interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and willingness to help other members of the team.
• Selfdriven and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organisational and problemsolving skills
• Exceptional Attention to detail
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Trustworthy and reliable

Preferable:

• Experience with SQL querying
• Experience of performing data analysis
• Computer Science / programming language knowledge
• Knowledge of AWS or equivalent cloud technologies.
• Exposure to data processing, databases, or Data Analytics/ML technologies
• Understanding of highquality testing practices
• Agile software development practices
• Demonstrable workplace experience
