Matching Staff Solutions are looking for experienced and hardworking
Business Support Officer for our client based in
Cardiff. The purpose of this role is to provide effective financial, administrative and performance support to residential services for children and young people.


Job Description:
-


  • Assist in providing facetoface and telephone greetings to callers, including receiving and sending messages.
  • Take minutes of meetings, record, distribute, and provide typing services to managers, assist in the operation of petty cash and suspense accounts.
  • Assist in ordering goods and services, processing invoices, and maintaining records of budget control, including management of purchase cards.
  • Assist in collection, recording, maintaining efficient financial record systems and banking of monies/cheques.
  • Provide statistical information as required, including collating information for QA reporting.
  • Maintain a computerized customer record system: layoffs, changes, closures, archive files, provide workload information file management.
  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
  • Participate actively in supporting the principles and practice of equality of opportunity as stated in the Council's Equal Opportunities Policy.
  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions and to comply with all health and safety legislation as appropriate.
  • Must have relevant office setting experience.
  • Experience of using CareFirst, Cash handling and convening meetings.
  • Experience of working to agreed standards and deadlines, minute/note taking.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience

Qualifications and Skills:
-


  • NVQ in Administration or similar qualification.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh.

Shift Time:
-


  • Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
