My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Hydrology, Drainage and Environmental Management, is searching for an Assistant Flood Risk Consultant to join an established team based in Central London.


It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Hydrology or Environmental Management and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completingcomplex Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and ideally Drainage design using Microdrainage.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing drainage design for residential developments.

As a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, you will be supported to complete the following;

  • Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone one, two and three.
  • Surface Water Management Plans.
  • Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies.
  • Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage for airports and residential sites.
  • Drainage Area Planning.
  • Natural Flood Risk Management.
  • Flood Alleviation Schemes.
