Activities Assistant - £10.50

  • Part Time/Bank (with potential to work additional hours), including alternate weekends_

Role summary


We are looking for someone enthusiastic to join our Activities Team to ensure that our residents take part in engaging and stimulating activities that are based around their specific needs and preferences.


Responsibilities

  • Get to know all our residents and their needs and interests so that we can figure out the best ways to engage with each person as an individual.
  • Ensure the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual needs of the residents are listened to and met.
  • Motivate the care team to understand that everyone should be taking part in meaningful engagement and activities with the residents and contribute to the caring culture of the Home.
  • All engagements must be recorded in each individual's care plan so we can evidence the work that we do.

Preferred experience

  • Experience of working in Activities/Wellbeing in a care home environment is preferable
  • Experience and training in working with vulnerable adults with dementia would also be extremely advantageous.

Character requirements

  • You must be a caring person who wants to work in an environment centred around supporting vulnerable adults.
  • Be an active and helpful member of the team, attend training sessions and ensure that the Care Home is a friendly and supportive working environment.
  • Excellent communicator
  • Show an empathetic, warm and cheerful personality.
  • Ability to put creative ideas into practice.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 30 per week


Salary:
£10.50 per hour
