Description
An opportunity has arisen within the Department of Clinical Microbiology for a Secretary/Consultant PA to join the team. This role will be shared with another team member, with the established current post holder reducing her weekly hours.


Knowledge of working in a laboratory environment is desirable, but not required as full on the job training will be provided.


You will act as a personal assistant to the consultant microbiologists and speciality doctors within the department, supporting service users to access clinical advice to help with the management of patients with infections.


You must:

  • Hold a C or above in GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Have a good knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
