Strip Fitter
Location - South Shields
Pay Rate - £10.50 per hour
Shifts - Monday to Friday
Job Type - Temporary with opportunity to go permanent
Main responsibilities of a Strip Fitter

Responsible for removing and replacing all trim components.
Stripping and fitting panels.
Ensuring that all nuts, bolts, screws and any other fixings are labelled and correctly stored, ready for when the stripped parts and panels are needed to be put back on to the vehicle.
Carrying out repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition in line with approved methods.
Supporting the Body shop team within other departments if required.
Training body shop trainee staff.

Skills and experience required of a Strip Fitter

Previous experience in a similar role as a Body shop Technician (essential).
Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in your work, completing work to the highest standards set by customers.
You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required.
Excellent attention to detail.
Full UK Driving Licence
Max 6 points and No DD's, DR's or TT99 due to insurance reasons.
