Job Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Support clinical colleagues in the routine audit and maintenance of relevant medication stock as directed by the Company's medication protocols, and report any discrepancies to the Clinical Team Supervisor, or Registered Manager.
  • Prepare client care records/files prior to admission, and ensure that all relevant clinical information is uptodate and available for review by the clinical team, prescribing Nurse or Doctor including any relevant GP Summary information or Medication Records
  • To support, or administer medication as directed by the clinical care plan and accurately document all medication administered in line with the Company's medication policy.
  • Undertake physical observations of all clients undertaking detoxification in their own room during early phase treatment including Blood Pressure, Temperature, Visual Presentation, Blood Oxygen Levels, Breath Alcohol Level or Drug Screening
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Liaise closely with the company's approved pharmacy to ensure sufficient routine stock medication levels are maintained through effective stock ordering as directed by the clinical prescribing team
  • Lead, prepare and administer any basic 1st Aid interventions when required, including wound dressings, emergency life support or topical lotions as required
  • To liaise closely with other external health care professionals where required to support the wider client health care needs, including GP's, Community Drug & Alcohol Services, Dentists, Sexual Health Services, etc
  • Operate as the designated clinical shift leader in the absence of a lead nurse or supervisor, and direct and support the effective delivery of a client focused clinical treatment service in collaboration with other colleagues
  • To support and participate fully in robust and effective client care handovers with other members of the Team at the beginning and end of each shift and maintain excellent levels of ongoing communication with colleagues about significant client care and clinical issues
  • To notify the Registered Manager or their Deputy of any serious untoward incidents, medication errors or emergencies promptly, and to document these accurately and fully in the companies incident record system

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in a clinical setting
  • Strong medication administration skills
  • Excellent patient care skills

Pay:
£12.36 per hour

No less than 39 per week
