The Role - Security Officer

AM Services Group is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Security Team at our client's retail shopping centre in Morecambe.

This is a Permanent Role working 17 hours per week role. Sunday 10.30am - 5pm / Monday 8am - 7pm

Duties/Key Responsibilities

To provide professional security services to our client, maintaining the security and safety of their premises and people by ways of monitoring, patrolling and surveying the building and their assets.

You must be flexible and able to work in a multiservice team
Work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that AM Support Services offers exceptional customer service at the highest standards
Complete daily security tasks, including the use of client software and security CCTV systems in the control room
Carry out routine patrols on site
Locking and unlocking premises
Assist in deterring crime
Take accurate notes to complete reports, logbook entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard including reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty
Liaison with local authorities including police, emergency healthcare services or even fire extinguishers in case of an emergency
To carry out weekly Fire alarm testing
Operating telephone switchboard
Carry out Use of client software
Use of client security systems
Liaison with local authorities
Operating client switchboard
Administrative tasks such as the completing of daily occurrence book.
Any reasonable task requested by the client or Manager, if you are trained to do so.

Skills Required:

Valid SIA Front Line Licence
CCTV experience
First Aid
You will need to evidence your honesty and reliability and always maintain a sense of pride in your professionalism in delivering excellent customer service.
Be able to access, control and manage a large crowd of people efficiently and quickly.
Full 5year checkable work history
Experience in a similar retail security role is required
