Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 CAMHS Occupational Therapist to work full-time based in Rotherham and Doncaster.
The pay rate for this locum CAMHS Occupational Therapist job is £25-£26 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of children suspected of having mental health needs who may require ICST input, and act as a contact point for professionals & families across the RDaSH footprint
- Assess, formulate, and devise effective crisis and risk management plans in order to manage risk safely in partnerships with the young person, families, and other agencies.
- Work as a fully integrated member of a multidisciplinary ICST providing a comprehensive mental health service to children, young people, and their families
- To ensure that all referrals into the pathway are responded to in a timely manner in line with service KPIs
- To maintain an overview of the caseload of the ICST and work with colleagues to ensure all referrals and appointments are responded too in a timely manner.
- To participate in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents who have a range of mental health, behavioural and psychological needs.
- To ensure that all referrals into the pathway are responded to in a timely manner in line with service KPIs
- To positively contribute to effective relationships with partners across three geographical locations; Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire including education, local authority, school nursing and voluntary sector colleagues

Requirements of the CAMHS Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- At least two years of postqualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience of care coordination work is essential
