Description

Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 CAMHS Occupational Therapist to work full-time based in Rotherham and Doncaster.

The pay rate for this locum CAMHS Occupational Therapist job is £25-£26 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.

Duties:

Undertake comprehensive assessments of children suspected of having mental health needs who may require ICST input, and act as a contact point for professionals & families across the RDaSH footprint
Assess, formulate, and devise effective crisis and risk management plans in order to manage risk safely in partnerships with the young person, families, and other agencies.
Work as a fully integrated member of a multidisciplinary ICST providing a comprehensive mental health service to children, young people, and their families
To ensure that all referrals into the pathway are responded to in a timely manner in line with service KPIs
To maintain an overview of the caseload of the ICST and work with colleagues to ensure all referrals and appointments are responded too in a timely manner.
To participate in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents who have a range of mental health, behavioural and psychological needs.

Also to support supervise and consult to other ICST members engaged in the assessment process.

To ensure that all referrals into the pathway are responded to in a timely manner in line with service KPIs
To positively contribute to effective relationships with partners across three geographical locations; Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire including education, local authority, school nursing and voluntary sector colleagues

Requirements of the CAMHS Occupational Therapist:

Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
At least two years of postqualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist
Experience of care coordination work is essential
