Finance Director, Cheshire
Up to £110,000 + benefits, bonus, pension, equity incentive

Our retained client is a growing £15m turnover niche B2B tech based business.

With a compound annual growth rate around 20% over the last 5+ years and 300+ staff, the business is highly profitable.


The business is now seeking a commercially focused Finance Director to partner the Board in developing business strategy and planning, ideally with corporate transaction experience.

The role reports to the Managing Director and will lead the financial managementof the business, evolving the finance function from a "controlling and reporting" function into a commercially aware, value-adding business partnering service to the business.

There is the likelihood of an exit transaction in the next three years for whichthe package will include an equity related incentive.


  • Qualified accountant with experience in entrepreneurial / SME / Private Equity backed businesses;
  • Experience of the M&A / Due Diligence process would be beneficial;
  • Commercially astute, strategic, able to see the bigger picture but with hands on the detail;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to support a variety of stakeholders, including business owners, leadership team and external advisors;
  • Able to integrate finance more closely into the business and thereby build finance into a value adding business function.
