Description

The Nelson Trust provides holistic support for women involved with the Criminal Justice System (CJS) under the supervision of the National Probation Service.

Women include those serving a community order and women released from HMP Eastwood Park.

We have recently established a Women's Centre located 10 minutes' walk from the City Centre. The Centre offers holistic support for women with multiple and complex needs and their children.

The Centre provides 1:1 keywork support, groupwork, drop in, IT suite and crèche facilities as well as, free parking facilities.

The Nelson Trust Women's Centre will build upon our existing award winning Women's Centres operating in Gloucester, Swindon, Somerset and Bristol.

We are looking for experienced and empathetic individuals to join our women's team in South Wales.

As an accommodation keyworker you will liaise between our team at HMP Eastwood Park and our Cardiff Women's Centre to support women in obtaining and maintaining suitable and safe accommodation and to thrive in a new home environment.

You will need to demonstrate good engagement skills working with women and have a track record of developing effective partnerships with local housing providers in Cardiff and the Vale as well as a commitment to utilise a gender responsive, trauma informed approach to make a difference to women's lives.

Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women's Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1)._

£21,500.00-£23,000.00 per year
