We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Release Consultant to join our small Support team already performing release management activities servicing our internal teams and end customers.

Position:

What we are looking for:

Joining the UNIX Support Team as a Software Release Consultant, you will be involved in releasing our product to our internal Development and QA environments and customer test environments, so that our teams and our customers can start their test cycles.

This could mean multiple releases throughout the day on various internal and customer environments.

This role is crucial for the software delivery lifecycle, especially the smooth collaboration between the QA teams and Development teams.

We're looking for someone who has some knowledge of UNIX and Oracle who is keen to learn more.

You would be ideal for this role if you are a confident communicator and interested to grow your technical skills around Oracle DBA, Unix, and Windows system administration.

What you would do as our Release Coordinator:
As part of a team of 3 but working with our extended Managed Services Team, you would be accountable to:

Facilitate the delivery of software releases to QA and Customer Test environments
Coordinate your time to optimise busy schedules and multiple releases
Document and communicate all changes for releases to both the internal teams and the customer
Clone/Refresh QA systems with Customer Test data
Manage resources/capacity for QA systems
Triage and help to resolve any environment issues affecting internal and customer teams
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships internally and externally
Create new environments as required

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, it would be great if you can demonstrate the following:

Ideally a computer science degree holder or similar
Proficiency in UNIX Shell Scripting would be preferred
Knowledge of any RDBMS, ideally Oracle
Preferably knowledge of SQL and PLSQL
Ability to multitask and manage diverse tasks simultaneously
Flexibility and ability to work in a team and individually with limited supervision
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Exceptional customer service, communication, and problemsolving skills
Interest in pursuing or furthering a career in DBA
Experience in or desire to learn about the Travel domain
