Roots4Life is seeking a CEO to take our new charity into the next stage of its development. Are you a visionary leader who has a passion for community-based action and tackling some of the biggest issues of our time from food insecurity, costs of living, healthy living, food growing and access to green spaces?

Roots4Life is at the forefront of all things green, growing, cooking and wellbeing. Based in a new Community Hub with 8 acres of land in New Eltham, Greenwich, London.

Over £300,000 has been raised in restricted and unrestricted funding since April 2021 which has helped to furnish a teaching kitchen and smaller kitchen, new commercial size polytunnel, rainwater harvesting station and sports equipment.

We have welcomed over 5,000 visitors to date and work with a diverse and vibrant community of all ages and abilities.

Our funding success to date is small restricted and activity-based funds from key donors including Royal Borough of Greenwich, Mayor of London, National Lottery, Natural England, Worshipful Company of Leathersellers, Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers and Julia and Hans Rausing Trust, among others.

Through these grants, Roots4Life shows impact and real-life case studies of supporting individuals and households through the costs of living crisis, post-Covid recovery and social isolation and wellbeing.

This role will be expected to take Roots4Life to the next stage in its development, securing long-term and multi-year funding to help build future sustainability.

Building on current relationships with existing donors to support new roles which will help developing unrestricted income streams in the long term.

This is an exciting role for a hardworking and committed individual who is as hands-on as strategic.
