Dot Recruit are delighted to have been appointed to support an innovative global courier service in its search for a new Finance Manager after relocating its head offices from London to Accrington.


While this business has the backing and financial stability of a large international brand, they are proud of the UK presence they are building.

Their Accrington based UK operation boasts a vibrant and modern open-plan office with fun break-out spaces.

Working as part of a busy Finance department you will report to the Country Manager and will benefit from a great learning and development team whowill support you with your training throughout your employment.


How you'll spend your time_:
_


  • Coordinate routine accounting, invoicing and credit collection in accordance with UK law and Group accounting reporting rules.
  • Prepare management, annual and departmental accounts and reports to deadlines, liaise with auditors and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Develop the business through effective financial planning and reporting processes.
  • Support and contribute to business decisions by providing data, performance analysis and assessing related financial impacts.
  • Participate in new business processes by identifying and developing opportunities and providing strategic guidance as necessary.
  • Provide input into investment decisions to support business development.
  • Partner with other departments to offer support and insight and ensure the numbers are fully understood and accounted for.
  • Support current and future franchisees with business and financial planning, including training new franchisees on the financial processes and responsibilities.
  • Comply with relevant tax legislation and deadlines in coordination with external tax consultants.
  • Work with the wider Worldwide finance team, providing reports and analysis where required.
  • Ensure robust finance controls are adhered to, with a view to continually review and improve processes and controls to improve efficiency.

This opportunity will be great for you if you:

  • Are ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
  • You have advanced Excel skills including complex formulas and workbooks
  • Have strong ERP system skills
  • Have strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Are process oriented, have the ability to prioritise and are attentive to detail
  • Have a willingness to travel as and when the role requires it
