Sandwell College is a fantastic leading organisation. We are a large, successful, richly diverse and growing college based on the outskirts of Birmingham.

We have achieved significant success over recent years and we have further, big ambitions for the future with just over 7,000 students currently studying with us.

We offer competitive pay and excellent rewards including:

  • Excellent annual leave for Lecturers plus bank holiday allowance
  • Competitive pension scheme
  • A variety of health and wellbeing programmes
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Progressive career development and training with regular 'Appreciation Days'

Our GCSE Department is looking for enthusiastic Lecturer to join us on a full time, fixed term basis until end of academic year 23/24 reporting into the Head of Section.

As part of this role, you will deliver specific programmes in line with the college's aims and objectives for this area's curriculum plan.

You will work closely with management, colleagues and students to ensure success for both college and students. Your confidence and excellent communication skills will also ensure a great partnership with our stakeholders too.

This is a great opportunity for an individual with previous experience in GCSE Maths to help shape the future of our department.

Not only will you be leading tutorship on the course and sharing your experience and knowledge but you always be creating opportunities for students.

You will be motivated and have great interpersonal skills and an ability to engage, motivate and support mixed ability learners.

An academic background in Maths would be fantastic, along with a recognised teaching qualification, (L5 or above).

We will also consider someone who is willing to work towards obtaining this qualification and has experience of working in maths, which would be relatable to the areas we teach.

We are looking for individuals who can inspire our students with passion and enthusiasm.

This role will require some travel within the Birmingham and Sandwell area, as and when required.
