Support pre-merger integration planning related to the proposed merger between Three UK & Vodafone UK for all aspects of Job Architecture & Reward, working with Three's Director of People Propositions, our selected partner and the wider People integration team.


  • Be the daytoday contact for the JA & Reward partner, working with them, the Director of People Propositions and the wider JA & Reward project team within Three & Vodafone to ensure Three's point of view is represented and that the workstream meets its objectives, to time and quality.
  • Review merger deal documentation to understand MergeCo strategy, vision & synergy targets / guardrails associated with the JA & Reward workstream and ensure proposals deliver the optimal synergies and people experience.
  • Consolidate internal JA and Reward information and data to provide to the partner, ensuring it's accurate, in the right format, well understood and adequately considered.
  • Review the output of the partner analysis, challenging where required to ensure its fit for purpose.
  • Where required, review details of Vodafone's job architecture, grading and rewards in order to understand the integration considerations, opportunities and challenges and to ensure robust options and recommendations are developed.
  • Collaborate with other integration workstreams as required to ensure dependencies with the JA & Reward workstream are identified, understood and managed effectively.
  • Work with the external partner and JA & Reward project team to:
  • Develop the Job Architecture & Reward pre-merger integration plan and approach.
  • Develop MergeCo's Total Reward Strategy and principles
  • Develop options for MergeCo's JA framework including evaluation methodology and job description templates.
  • Develop options for MergeCo's total reward structure, including on target bonus %, allowances and benefits, aligned to the new grading framework.
  • Develop MergeCo's bonus, longterm incentive and commission plans, including agreement on both business & individual performance metrics and compliance with legal & regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure robust cost modelling and optimisation and employee impact assessments for each option, within cost parameters.
  • Recommend the target JA & reward structures, aligned to agreed principles and strategy.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Reward role managing key reward processes including job evaluation, benchmarking, pay review, benefit management, pensions etc.
  • Prior experience of implementing largescale changes to job grading and reward, ideally including integration and harmonisation in an M&A context.
  • Previous experience managing external reward partners and holding others to account.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to lead projects from inception to embedding.
  • Understands emerging Reward and workforce trends and uses this to inform insights and recommendations.

At Three we have a hybrid working arrangement in place as standard for office based employees, where employees work from a mix of office based location and working from their home in the UK to carry on their role.

Excluding retail, core hours at Three are between 10:00 and 16:00, with operating hours between 08:00 & 18:30. This allows employees to have a start time between 08:00 and 10:00 and finish time between 16:00 and 18:30.
