P&O Ferries are recruiting for an experienced
Sales Ledger Clerk to join our finance team here in Dover.


The purpose of the role is to process payments received from our customers and ensure accounts are reconciled and refunds completed.

The role:


  • Process payments from cash account customers
  • Reconcile balance sheet control accounts for all cash/cheque and card payments and refunds made via sales ledger and at the ports.
  • Process daily authorised refunds by card, bank transfer or cheque
  • Reconcile all tourist and cash freight accounts by investigating under and over payments on bookings and taking appropriate action
  • Schedule daily invoice runs and perform audit checks to ensure all postings to CODA are correct.

So who are we looking for

  • Good communication skills and be able to demonstrate these both written and verbally
  • Proven account reconciliation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • High level of numeracy and literacy
  • Excellent Excel including the use of Pivot Tables (desirable not essential)
  • Knowledge of CODA (desirable not essential)
