A Client within the public sector based in Central London is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join team as soon as possible.


The propose of the role is to to manage directly, projects carried out by external suppliers, as well as managing projects where a supplier acts as the Contract Administrator and Project Manager to another external supplier.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all projects are carried out in accordance with the clients objectives and policies and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Ensure all projects are carried out to agreed timescales, budgets and standards (including performance targets) and in liaison with the Property team requirements.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that business continuity is maintained during any project works.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Ensure that the projects are carried out in accordance with management instructions and quality assurance processes including the Property Manual, Standard Station Design Brief (SSDB), the clients policies, energy, compliance and sustainability

Requirements:


  • Possession of a nationally recognised qualification in a construction related discipline and/or relevant extensive experience at an appropriate level and/or specific contractual knowledge.
  • Experience of managing professional services in respect of building project management in a multidisciplined environment, including small to medium sized projects up to a nominal value up to £250,000.
  • Experience of supervising construction works undertaken using Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) or Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE) or similar contracts with a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the different parties to the contract. Experience in acting as a Contract Administrator and/or a Client's Representative/Project Sponsor.


The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £27 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
