Import Merchandiser
**Do you have import merchandising experience and are looking for your next opportunity?
William Lamb Group is one of the UK's biggest suppliers of footwear and bags in the UK. It is a family-owned business based in Wakefield, established in 1887 and they are now recruiting an Import Merchandiser.


You will be liaising with the overseas suppliers/offices and customers to manage the critical path of goods on allocated customers to ensure customer contracted delivery dates are achieved.

You will manage the critical path process and perform necessary tasks, from raising P/O to delivery of goods


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Placing confirmed Sales Orders/Purchase Orders on the company's systems
  • Liaising with the internal customers to agree on delivery dates for new enquiries and negotiating dates where necessary
  • Liaising with the customers and attending customer meetings on and offsite as required
  • Liaising with the overseas suppliers or overseas offices and agreeing shipdates and critical approval dates for any new orders
  • Working closely with the design team and account managers and tracking design amendments
  • Liaising with shipping/distribution to ensure goods arrive and are processed and delivered on time
  • Provide assistance with project work assigned by the Merchandise Manager

What you need:


  • Experience of import merchandising and with dealing with high street customers
  • A good knowledge of Excel and Word, especially Excel as updating spreadsheets accurately
  • Computer literacy, numeracy & good organisational skills are essential
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE Grade A*C, including Math's & English
