We have an opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our Fit Out & Interiors team, Smartspace based out of our offices near Euston, where they will provide an effective and professional planning and programming service for pre-contract and project teams.


Wates Smartspace is a national business, delivering high-quality fit-out, refurbishment and property upkeep projects, enhancing its customers' physical assets and operating environments.

Working with a wide variety of long-standing customers, we have established a strong reputation for delivering projects to tight timescales and in live environments, frequently working around business-critical equipment.


Key Accountabilities include:


  • Instigate and monitor a balanced suite of performance measurement criteria throughout a project's lifecycle
  • Ensure proper integration of design and procurement elements of programmes with operations
  • Produce integrated tender programme and method statement and present proposals to settlement meeting
  • Change management: review programme effect of changes and advise on EOT issues
  • Produce schedules as well as obtain and analyse quotes for all timerelated preliminaries

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will already have experience of working as a Planner within a similar business and have a knowledge of commonly used forms of construction contracts as well as an awareness of a variety of performance measurement techniques, such as Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Analysis, and use of Key Performance Indicators. We use Asta Power Project, so a working knowledge would be helpful.


We are looking for you to be an excellent communicator at all levels with an eye for detail and accuracy. Organised and able to self-manage of workload, time, and priorities to achieve outputs required.

Membership of CIOB would be desirable and the vacancy is based in London/Southeast
