Overall purpose of the role:
To provide and manage a commercially effective and profitable e-commerce retail operation, whilst developing and motivating staff. Management of marketing requirement across the e-commerce and physical retail operations.

Main duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide the Online team with the support and leadership they need to be a high performing and motivated team, able to deliver to high standards and hit their sales targets and profit margins (where applicable), managing any issues of poor performance appropriately.
  • Grow and develop the online operation, identifying and implementing any opportunities to make improvements.
  • Engage with wider retail team to ensure collaboration and regular provision of stock.
  • Working collaboratively with the Marketing dept, take a leading role in developing the retail marketing provision and outputs, covering physical marketing collateral, social media and online/screen content.
  • Support and monitor delivery of agreed KPI's and Objectives, implementing a performance plan if not being met.
  • Train, monitor and report to ensure the online operation adhere to all required financial and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide relevant staff with support and training to enable them to manage their staff effectively, deliver excellent customer service standards and where applicable, achieve any defined sales targets
  • Ensure that high standards of health and safety, housekeeping, organisation and cleanliness are maintained in warehouse area and provide staff with support where standards need to be improved.
  • Support the wider retail management team with development projects, refits, remerchandising of existing shops, new shop site evaluations and new shop openings.
  • Work collaboratively with the Retail Area Managers ensuring a consistent approach across the retail estate.
  • Engage with the Volunteer Team to ensure the online shop, warehouse and logistics are fully supported with appropriate levels of volunteering.
  • With the support of the Head of Operations, carry out data analysis to study sales trends and identify improved sales opportunities.
  • Be available for weekend emergency contact cover on a rota basis.
