Are you a Field Service Engineer with calibration experience? If so, our client is a leading manufacturer of process instrumentation products used across a variety of industries and are looking for a field service engineer. The role is home based, coveringa patch of the UK.

Field Service Engineer

The Field Service Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

To undertake installation, commissioning, servicing, calibration, fault finding and repair or replacement of components and equipment on all contracts and specialist projects allotted.
To carry out routine maintenance of equipment and systems included in the periodic service contracts allotted to him efficiently and cost effectively.
To develop skills and knowledge beyond basic trade and to service and repair equipment which falls within the scope of the job as directed by the Service Manager and for which training has or is being given as necessary.
To have a good knowledge of administrative procedures associated with the job and to ensure that all reports and paperwork are completed and submitted on time.
To requisition spares and replacement parts from the office/stores and to maintain stock in accordance with Company procedures.
To acquire a working knowledge in the use of specialist test equipment relating to the job, and to keep secure and in good working order all Company equipment allocated.
Where appropriate, and as approved by the Service Manager, assist with the formal onsite training of Trainees. To provide technical expertise in resolving site problems as and when required.
Be able and prepared to travel throughout the UK and, in certain circumstances, overseas whenever necessary.
To be responsible for their own health and safety and the health and safety of others that may be affected through their actions or omissions.
To pay particular attention to and comply with the Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, Security and Site policies, rules and instructions as issued by the Company, and those of the Company's clients.
To be responsible for the allocated Company vehicle and to ensure that it is roadworthy, and the maintenance and cleanliness conform to statutory regulations and Company requirements.
