Full time or substantial part time
The Modern Languages Department has well-equipped multi-media classrooms with interactive white boards and computers. There are currently four full time, one part-time teachers and three part time language assistants (French, German and Spanish).

All students study two languages In Year 7 and 8 from a selection of French, German and Spanish. Students have the option of dropping a language in year 9.

They can continue with both, but they have the option to drop one to study Latin or classics instead in year 9.

All three languages are taught up to 'A' level and pupils are strongly encouraged to study at least one of the three languages at GCSE with a good number choosing to do two.
