Sapphire Utility Solutions are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the department that process Payroll for staff of just over 1000 employees to cover a Maternity and Busy period due to System changes

You will be working in a team

  • Processing the payroll for weekly and monthly payroll, taking ownership of the whole process from start finish.
  • Calculating salaries, tax and social security withholdings
  • Administration of processing new employees and terminations
  • Processing electronic timesheets and the functionality of the electronic timesheet process.
  • Managing and recording absences, annual leave, sick leave
  • Addressing all payroll queries quickly resolving and helping employees at every stage
  • Resolving any discrepancies in payments as a matter of urgency
  • Calculating monthly attendance records for employees
  • Maintaining and updating all employee records
  • Communicating with both employees and managers over the phone and face to face

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a Payroll Assistant is essential.
  • Excellent data entry, data cleaning,
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation and procedures relating to salary deductions.
  • Capacity to keep track of numerous ongoing tasks.
  • Excellent Excel Skills.
This Position is working 37.5 hours a week. Flexibility on start time and finish time.

Monday - Friday


Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
£27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
