People & Culture Lead | Culture, Operations & Brand

Route to Chief People Officer (CPO)

Hybrid working model (3 days in the office)


We're looking for a People & Culture Lead to help us make Wave Talent the most special recruitment business to work for.

As we continue to grow, we want to ensure that we're protecting our culture and finding unique, creative ways to change the way people think about work.

Here's an idea of what your day-to-day might look like here at Wave:


  • People Operations
  • Social Media Management and Content Creation
  • Showcase our culture externally on Linkedin & Instagram.
  • Office Management
  • Internal Event Organising
  • Adhoc tasks for Cofounders.
We don't expect experience in all of these areas, just the ability to demonstrate versatility in responsibilities and approach for the below:

People Operations

  • Develop the Wave retention scheme, pushing new ideas to make working at Wave a truly unique and special experience.
  • Support the endtoend onboarding process for new employees including induction, probation, equipment, IT and calendar management.
  • Develop and maintain our employee intranet (Notion)
  • Support our performance management structure including monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
  • Continue to develop our Wave benefits package.
  • Work closely within the People community to ensure our policies and Employee Handbook are up to date, relevant and reflect the right culture for the business.
  • Contribute to the Employee Engagement strategy, conduct surveys and analyse data to support the development and execution of quarterly action plans.
  • Bring creativity to how we reward and engage with employees through incentives, socials and Adhoc treats.
  • Support the company's wellness strategy through quarterly meetings, talks and support via benefits i.e. Vitality.

Social Media Management & Content Creation

  • Manage our TikTok and Instagram accounts, constantly adding new content to entice people to work for or with us.
  • Help develop a unique tone of voice and recurring themes across our social media channels.
  • Keep up to date with social media trends, executing ideas that could fit well within our industry/target audience.
  • Find new ways to showcase Wave
  • LinkedIn recommendations, Google Reviews etc.
  • Show our sense of humour and unique culture via video.
  • Follow the latest TikTok trends.
  • Create content or use the team's post to blog.

Office Management.

  • Show creativity in making our Wavey HQ a place like no other. Come up with fresh ideas to make our office one of the best in class across the recruitment industry in the UK.
  • Ensure the office is always stocked up and ready to use for team members. Make it as enticing as possible to work from whilst considering the cost.
  • Be the point of contact for all office suppliers such as energy providers, building management etc.
  • Implement processes to ensure the running of the office is continuously smooth i.e. cleaners, health and safety, house rules etc.

Internal Event Organising

  • Support the management of all Wave events.
  • Organise annual incentive trips and the itinerary within that.
  • Make our events special, and think of things that haven't been done before.
  • Make a spectacle of seasonal celebrations.

Showcase Culture Externally

  • Showcase our Wavey culture externally highlighting things we do for our people such as benefits, events, office, holidays etc.
  • We have an amazing office, how can we also think of ways to use this to entice people to join our business?
  • Make the most of our innovative ways of working and find a way to market this externally to showcase our people and cultural qualities.
  • Think about the things we do to make our employees happy and explore if we can sprinkle some of the magic externally.

Adhoc tasks for Co-founders.

  • Support Cofounders with tasks that may need actioning to enable them to focus their time and thought space on sales and growth.

Requirements:


  • Creative thinking.
  • 12 years experience working in a People, HR or Office Manager capacity.
  • Understanding of social media management (LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram)
  • Startup experience preferred.
  • BSc Degree preferred.

Salary:
£30,000.00-£32,500.00 per year
