Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys to determine property boundaries and collect data for mapping purposes
- Use surveying instruments and equipment to measure distances, angles, and elevations
- Prepare and maintain accurate field notes, sketches, and records of survey data
- Perform calculations and analysis of survey data using CAD software
- Assist in the preparation of maps, plats, and legal descriptions
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide surveying support during project development and construction phases
- Ensure compliance with surveying standards, regulations, and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in land surveying or a related role
- Proficiency in data management and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD)
- Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment, and procedures
- Familiarity with ArcGIS or other GIS software is a plus
- Excellent mathematical skills for accurate calculations and measurements
- Ability to interpret maps, legal descriptions, and engineering plans
- Strong attention to detail and problemsolving abilities
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
