Responsibilities:


Description of the Business Line or Department


SGIL offers a full range of clearing and execution services for futures and options on listed financial and commodity markets.

The Company does not take proprietary positions but in the normal course of business facilitation can hold limited residual positions to accommodate its customer activities.

In addition, the Company provides coverage for a broad range of fixed income, foreign exchange (FX), equity and commodity products in listed markets.

The Company also provides clients with value added services including a prime brokerage offering, electronic platforms for trading and order routing, cross margining and the centralised reporting of client portfolios.


Summary of the key purposes of the role

  • Daily monitoring of SGIL's capital and liquidity position
  • Improve data quality in liaison with other stakeholders (IT, back office departments)
  • Work on the Group and local regulatory projects

Summary of responsibilities

  • Contribution to the Regulatory reports sent to the FCA (MIFIDPRU reporting);
  • Provide Management and business partners with adhoc analysis;
  • Deploying any new Group policy, methodology change, project, while ensuring their compliance with the UK FCA regulation;
  • Manage data extraction and produce kfactors of SGIL on a daily basis
  • Ensure data reliability from source systems extractions, and ensure reconciliation with UK General ledger and Risk systems;
  • Monitoring and analysis of UK kfactors forecasts and limits.

Profile required:


Competencies

  • Good accounting knowledge
  • Knowledge of UK prudential regime for MiFID investment firms is a plus
  • Problem-

Solving Skills:
recognize issues and be able to define an action plan to solve them

  • Adaptability Skills: adaptability to propose new ideas and raise alert if necessary
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Analytical skills: be able to analyse large volume of data
  • Good communication skills are required as well as a relationship facility in team works
  • This function implies many contacts in an international environment on technical topics which require excellent verbal and written level in English
