Price Forbes is currently recruiting a Broker to join our Specialist Political Violence & Terrorism team based in London. The role is for a market and client facing activity within scope of responsibility.Principal Task
- Developing new business opportunities, maintaining, and adding growth and value to the business of the Company
- Negotiating insurance contracts with underwriters, developing, and placing profitable business (face to face and remotely via electronic trading platforms)
- Assisting the existing team in transacting new and renewal business.
- Meeting clients and underwriters to discuss renewal and new business opportunities
Generic Knowledge Requirements
- Sufficient knowledge, interest and understanding of Global Current Affairs (social, political, and economic)
- Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the general concepts of insurance to be able to perform the Principal Tasks
- Good working knowledge of the underwriters and markets in which the team trades; and their practices, documentation, and customs
- Good working knowledge of the UK regulatory requirements, and of relevant insurance and regulatory requirements in other jurisdictions, as they affect the business of the Property Section
Specific Knowledge Requirements
- Knowledge of Price Forbes practices, procedures, and service standards
- Knowledge and/or awareness of Price Forbes IT systems and processes
