Senior Software Test Engineer - Cambridge - £55,000 - Hybrid
My client are an established developer and manufacturer of specialised graphics systems for broadcast television. Based in Cambridge it has a strong reputation for quality, innovation and technical excellence. Their customers include some big names likeSky, BBC and ITV.

They are an engineering driven company working together as a friendly team with a passion for developing state of the art software in an agile software development environment.

Include:

Planning the test cycles for new software releases
Creation of test plans for existing and new software features
Writing and running manual testcases
Scripting automated testcases in
Python
Automating tests for a webbased user interface
Investigating and reporting defects
Reporting on software quality
Liaising with stakeholders
5+ years of experience in Software Application Testing
23 years of experience writing automated test scripts in
Python
23 years of experience using
Linux
Experience scripting in BASH
Excellent testing skills (designing test plans, writing and executing test cases, reporting and verifying defects)
