We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to work with a busy Architectural Metalwork design and manufacturer.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for someone who is an experienced Production Supervisor and able to supervise the completion of works orders in a busy workshop, ensuring works are completed on time and to the standard.
Supporting the Head of production programme & logistics with providing technical advice, knowledge, assistance and intervention to ensure the safe and efficient production / operation of all activities.
To ensure adherence to all safe systems of work for all Assembly activity and to work to company Health and Safety policy at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and clearly communicating the manufacturing plan to the team, describing what needs to be carried out, explaining why, by when and by whom
- Oversee and ensure procedures, including the completion of associated documentation are adhered to for all activities in the workshop
- The Production Supervisor will manage and be hands on with completion of works and be active in production process
- Overseeing the production process; ensuring that the production/assembly is cost effective; making sure that products are produced on time
- The Production Supervisor will monitor and improve the efficient use of resources
- Motivating a team of workers, reviewing performance, and identifying training needs
- Communicate regularly with all company personnel to ensure problems are reported & resolved
- Ensure materials and equipment is available to meet the operational demands placed upon it in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Identify potential hazards and proactively implement actions and controls
- Ensure all plant and small tools are adequately maintained before use
- Ensures plant is adequate for the task prior to being used
- Carries out Safety & Environment Tours
- Keeps up to date with changes in legislation
- Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
- Health & Safety IOSH
- SMSTS and CSCS card holder
- First aid training
- Over Head Crane
- Counter Balance FLT
- Slinger/Signaller
- IPAF
Skills:
- Ability to work under pressure to and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work on your own or as part of a team
- Selfmotivated with excellent communication skills
- Able to multitask and be well organised with good planning abilities
- Ability to act decisively
- Ability to motivate others
- Ability to work in a logical, systematic manner.
- Previously worked within a similar role and environment
- Come from a trades background
- Supervision of busy Assembly Workshop
- Excellent Communications skills both verbal and written
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Good computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Be able to demonstrate a flexible but client focused approached to a busy workload
- Be someone who enjoys working in a relaxed and informal yet fast paced and highpressured environment
- Outgoing and personable individual who will fit in the values and ethos of the company
- The ability to use own initiative to resolve any problem and issues that may arise

£16.00-£17.00 per hour
