Job Description:


Contracts and Settlements is one of several support functions that enable EDF Trading to tightly control its commercial activities and process a large number of transactions with a wide variety of counterparts.


The department acts as an enabler for the commercial side of the business whilst ensuring effective processes and controls are in place to mitigate operational risk and potential loss whether financial (actual or lost opportunity) or reputational.

Position purpose


The role will primarily be to validate and monitor Transaction Reporting processes and ensure that timely, complete and accurate data is delivered in accordance with the various obligations under numerous regulations (EMIR, REMIT and MiFID).

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure that relevant trades are reported within EMIR and REMIT regulatory deadlines, so that required regulatory obligations are met.
  • Ensure that ancillary reporting obligations are met within the required regulatory deadlines.
  • Monitor trade submission error logs, performing root cause analysis when necessary, to ensure that trades are reported within specified timeframes.
  • Support colleagues in daytoday tasks whilst building a holistic understanding of endtoend processes.
  • Ensuring all processes are followed and evaluated for enhancements and controls.
  • Comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Numerate with a strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high standards of accuracy.
  • A team player who is confident in building strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Proactive and adaptable in a fast paced and exciting environment.
  • Able to follow procedures, identify problems and follow up on resolution.
  • Fluent in English with the ability to communicate messages clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues including senior management.

Hours of work:
8.30am - 5.30pm / 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
