Title:
HGV Driver / LGV Cat C (Class 2) Driver


The Best Connection are currently looking for 7.5T/Class 2 Drivers to work for our well established client based in Cumbernauld for an immediate start.


Must be available Tuesday (6th) and Wednesday (7th) for driving assessment and SSOW training.


The job will involve making home deliveries throughout Scotland as part of a two man team for a market leading retailer.


Job Role:


  • This is a VERY physically demanding role so physical fitness would be an advantage.
  • The role involves lifting very heavy furniture items as a two man team and placing in the customers room of choice, some building of the furniture may apply.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Monday to Friday alternate Dayshift(6am start)

Requirements:


  • One of the duties in this role will be to call customers and inform them of your arrival time. Good telephone manner and a strong grasp of spoken English are essential.
  • Timekeeping, time management and good attendance record are highly desirable qualities for this position.


  • Licence

  • Class C1 7.5T or C
  • Class 2

In return:


  • Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
  • 28 days Paid Annual Leave prorata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
  • Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
