Site Team
The Site Team is part of the Premises Department and provides effective organisation of facilities management and essential services for premises buildings and grounds.
The Site Team currently consists of 4 members of Staff (Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager and two Site Assistants).
Main Purpose of Role:
To assist the Site Manager in effectively managing site services and maintenance and to provide support for an efficient caretaking and cleaning service for the premises.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1 Caretaking duties
- Carry out security procedures for college buildings and grounds in accordance with college policy
- Carry out cleaning in specified areas as allocated by Site Manager, including emergency cleaning as required i.e. as a result of an accident, sickness, vandalism
- Move furniture and equipment as required, with frequent heavy lifting of items
- Accept delivery of stores, materials and other goods and convey to appropriate storage areas when required
- Clearance of litter and emptying of litter bins to designated refuse collection points
- Assist the efficient operation of recycling of college refuse materials
- Clean gullies and drains at surface level when required
- Clean accessible light fittings, shades and diffusers and replace where necessary.
- Carry out painting and decorating tasks (interior & exterior) as required.
- Take out of use caretaking/cleaning equipment known to be faulty and report the need for repair
- Assist the Site Manager where appropriate in enabling access premises in the event of snow, flooding or other emergency situations
Maintenance
- Conduct routine repairs and maintenance on college buildings, fittings and furnishings as directed by Site Manager
- Assist with work on construction and adaptation of buildings, fittings and furnishings as required

Salary:
£20,000.00-£22,104.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Brighton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
