Role Overview


The Client Reporting and Portfolio team, provide timely and accurate portfolio characteristics data to meet client specific as well as regulatory reporting requirements.

As our successful trainee, you will sit as part of the Portfolio team in London.

This will give you a unique opportunity and insight on how we support our fixed income portfolio management teams' and how we supporting the production and distribution of reoccurring portfolio and performance reports including investment commentary and macro-economic exhibits.


As part of a global business, you will gain exposure to our diverse and talented investment and operations teams' that includes key stakeholders such as, Portfolio Managers, Product Specialists, Client Service, Marketing, Sales, RFP and Legal to deliver best-in-class reporting for our institutional and pooled fund clients.


There will also be plenty of opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders across the business by contributing to the development of strategic client reporting initiatives as well as portfolio analysis to gain insights into key investment and risk management choices.

Primary Tasks - in the role of a trainee you would be exposed to many of the following:

  • Developing a deep understanding of the firm's culture, values and internal processes to be able to deliver best-in-class portfolio reporting for institutional and pooled fund clients.
  • Developing an understanding of global fund structures, client onboarding processes and client specific reporting requirements to facilitate the efficient and effective distribution of regular and ad hoc client materials.
  • Proactively responding to stakeholder queries and provide accurate and timely information.
  • Identifying data issues and proactively take necessary steps to maintain high data standards across our fixed income reporting platform by partnering with key internal and external stakeholders such as technology and investment teams as well as 3rd party data providers.
  • Support the regular production of client reporting materials and take ownership of existing internal processes to meet client deadlines.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop your coding ability by discovering ways to automate existing and new processes'

Qualifications:


  • Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel and PowerPoint) is required.
How we can help you grow, do you have interest in the following?

  • A desire to obtain IMC and CFA (or equivalent)
  • An interest in developing your computer programming skills (e.g. VBA, SQL or Python)
  • An interest in learning Aladdin Explore
  • An interest in learning about the fixed income asset class and portfolio Interpretation
  • An interest in learning numerical methods.
