**We are recruiting for a Senior Buyer who will be responsible for driving and improving assurance of supply across multiple divisional sites. This will include the support of immediate assurance of supply issues brought up by your team, the execution of a divisional risk mitigation plan, the supervision of the supplier relationship process and finally the execution of specific assigned saving projects.

  • Please note, this is a sitebased role in our Basingstoke headquarter, but will require you to travel to our East Grinstead or Dartford sites as per business requirement*_

Responsibilities:


  • You will lead a team of 3/4 buyers across multiple divisional sites.
  • You will support your team and resolve any critical assurance of supply issue.
  • You will communicate clear updates to internal collaborators around any raw material shortages raised to you, via supply chain tier meetings.
  • You will support your team with specific contract management purchasing processes.
  • You will drive the internal change management process when alternative raw materials need to be implemented due to assurance of supply issues.
  • You will complete the risk mitigation action program (at SKU & Supplier level) to reduce supply business risk exposure across the division.
  • You will drive execution of the divisional supplier relationship program in collaboration with the quality team who will feedback on supplier performance and ensuring compliance with our vendor management standards.
  • You will implement specific assigned divisional saving projects in collaboration with our corporate team and divisional sourcing team.
  • You will support inventory reduction target to reach the divisional goal.
  • You will ensure procurement processes are followed and help identify improvements (incl. Global Trade Compliance and animal derived products importations).

Experience, skills & abilities required

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience working within Buying/Procurement roles.
  • Previous exposure within Pharma, FMCG or Regulated industry would be an advantage.
  • Thinks and acts with a customercentric attitude to deliver outstanding customer experience.
  • Develops and maintains successful customer relationships both internally and/or externally, showing strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Takes personal accountability for decisions and actions, and always exercises good judgement
  • Holds strong problemsolving skills.
  • Is intellectually curious and adopts continuous improvement, challenging the status quo. Introduces and proactively seeks out new insights and solutions to strengthen performance.
  • Is able to demonstrate previous team management/leadership skills (3 years+).
