Job description


Duties include:

  • Sample processing (plate reading, confirmations etc.)
  • Quality control (IQC/EQA/Media QC)
  • Reporting of results
  • Client liaison (e.g. providing specialist knowledge when requested)
  • Supervision of microbiology technicians
  • Report authorisation
  • Stock management
  • Maintain compliance to ISO 17025: 2017

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
From £9.50 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
In response to the COVID-19 outbreak all staff are required to wear facemasks in the laboratory areas. Wash stations and hand gel are available for regular hand sanitisation. Contact surfaces are cleaned daily.


Education:


  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:


  • Laboratory experience: 1 year (preferred)
