The Finance team are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the team:
About the job
What we expect from you
- Raising sales invoices/credit notes and posting into accounting software (Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central)
- New customer setup and customer due diligence checks
- Issuing invoices at request of sales team and customers
- Providing bank updates to Sales team
- Credit control
- Generating statements and sending to customers
- Assisting Finance Manager with general credit control duties
- Weekly reporting to Finance Manager of overdue debts
- Reconciling customer accounts
- Reconciling supplier accounts
- Maintaining supplier due diligence spreadsheet
- Assist Management Accountant and Finance Manager with monthend reporting
What we offer
- Previous experience in Sales Ledger role
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure to fixed deadlines
- Ability to communicate with various stakeholders in the business, including a fast paced Sales team
- Some awareness/understanding of VAT rules & accounting principles/double entry bookkeeping
- Basic/Intermediate Excel
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central an advantage
- Keen to learn & progress
