This is a shift-based team leader role that will manage a team of operators based at our Trafford Park
The role is based on a 4 on 6 off shift pattern.
We're looking for people who embody our values, aren't afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace.
What you will do
Reporting to the Operations Leader, you will be responsible for front line leadership of the crews to ensure optimum safety, quality, machine efficiency and machine performance through ensuring correct running standards.
You will also be managing the skill development of the crews - setting out and delivering on capability development plans focused on skills manufacturing.
You will be responsible for regular 1:1 with your crews, managing time and attendance and addressing any performance related issues.
You will be focused on your own personal development - both technically through completing Manufacturing Academy modules - as well as your skills in leadership.
Who you are
First and foremost, you will need to be able to demonstrate clear potential for being a successful leader.
You may be able to show this from being a line leader or managed projects, or led the way in quality or safety.
As a result, you will have the following attributes:- Previous experience in a similar industry (FMCG) operating at a Team Leader level
- Proven team leadership experience with accountability for people management and development, safety, and quality
- A forward thinker, you thrive on resolving problems and can create and maintain an environment of learning and skill development in a busy production environment
- You will have great interpersonal skills be an effective communicator, and active listener, and able to give constructive feedback in an engaging manner
- You will have proven experience of delivering successfully in a change environment (whether in training or other areas of responsibility)
