About the role:
ABC Teachers are excited to be working with a school in the Wednesbury to recruit a SenCo to cover an up and coming maternity role.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring a high level of pastoral of the SEND learnings in the school as well as helping to maintain academic achievement in these learners
You will need to ensure that students feel support throughout the school both in and out of lessons and help them to maintain the sense that they belong to the wider school community.
You will need to have specific knowledge of day to day pastoral care as well as how to implement the current SEND policy to ensure that the individual student needs are meant to a high standard.
The ability to help implement EHC plans is crucial and this will involve you having excellent communication skills as you work along side students, staff, parents and external agencies to ensure that the child feels happy, cared for and capable of success.
About you:
- Able to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check
- Have recent experience working with children or young people
- Have a warm and friendly nature to be able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Have a SEND background that you can incorporate into schools
- Have a secure and uptodate knowledge of SEND legislation
- Have the ability to lead, motivate and inspire staff and students

Requirements:
To be considered for the role of Secondary School SenCo you will:
- Must have Senco Experience
The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Must have experience in Senco
- Must be up to date with latest SEN policies
- Must have knowledge of EHP's
All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
