Description
Salt and Pepper is a diverse independent retailer with many suppliers. We have been established since 2000, and have been steadily expanding over the years. We are family owned, and run and have a hands-on approach.

We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for all day-to-day financial administration within the company. This role is an independent position so ability to multi-task and prioritise is necessary.

Salt and Pepper uses an independent Chartered Accountant for year end accounts, however, all period end figures are prepared in-house by the Financial Administrator.


Finance department responsibilities include:

  • Daily tills / cash reconciliation
  • Weekly payroll, pensions and PAYE
  • Daily banking and bank reconciliation
  • Control of purchase ledger invoices and payments
  • MDT VAT returns
  • Monthly management reports
  • Preparation of Year End accounts for external Accountants
  • General office duties as required (telephone/filling)
Experience of Pegasus Opera is preferred (but not essential). Good computer skills including Microsoft Office and an attention detail are essential.

We can offer flexibility on a working schedule as our retail business is open seven days a week. Salary will be discussed at interview.
