    Job Description for Field-Based Forklift Service Engineer

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Solihull area. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of materials handling and ancillary equipment.

    The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, with experience working on vehicles being desirable. You will also need to possess strong time management skills and be able to accurately complete service reports and time sheets.

    In addition to your technical skills, you will be expected to build strong relationships with customers and manage your parts stock effectively. If you are a motivated and organized individual with a passion for delivering excellent customer service, we want to hear from you.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Repair and preventative maintenance of materials handling and ancillary equipment
    • Accurate completion of service reports and time sheets
    • Building customer relationships
    • Managing and controlling parts stock

    Requirements:

    • Electrical or mechanical engineering experience
    • Time management skills
    • Experience working on vehicles (desirable)
    • Full driving licence
